INTRODUCTION

The FileNet P8 component processes and stores documents into an object store located within the FileNet P8 Content Engine 4.0.x or 4.5.x. An object store acts like a library complete with its own set of document classes, security policies and documents. The FileNet P8 can manage several object stores at one time.

 

The FileNet P8 component provides the following features:

 

·         Ability to connect to the FileNet P8 object store.

·         Ability to specify an Object store and Target Folder to route documents.

·         Can select the Document class of the routed document.

·         Ability to specify whether the document is to be checked in.

·         Ability to specify content type of the routed document.

·         Can set the name of the new document or update the document with existing name or ID.

·         Ability to set auto unique containment name to the routed document.

·         Can set the value of the document class fields.

·         Ability to grant Permissions for users or groups to work with the document.

·         Can specify additional options like additional content elements, annotations and subscriptions.

·         Can specify relations between documents.

·         Ability to route document with the specified fields and permissions to the FileNet P8 object store.

 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the instructions included with the add-on setup package to complete the installation for the FileNet P8 component.
