INTRODUCTION

The IBM Content Manager 8.4 route and eConnector components provide scalable content capture server software technology to help you capture your corporate business content into IBM Content Manager 8.4 server databases. IBM Content Manager 8.4 improves your organization's efficiency through enhanced collaboration and information management.

The IBM Content Manager 8.4 component provides the following features:

· Parameters can be specified to connect to the IBM Content Manager 8.4 server.

· User can send documents to a selected database and folder.

· A document file type can be specified.

· A document item type can be specified.

· A routing process can be attached to the document with a specified owner and priority.

· User can assign attributes to predefined item types.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The following software is required prior to installation:

· IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Edition Client for Windows version 8.4 (or version 8.4.2), OR IBM DB2 Content Manager Information Integrator for Content version 8.4 - API for connection to the IBM Content Manager 8.4 server.

· IBM Data Server Client Version 9.5 - a collection of client application drivers and tools for DB2 and Informix IDS data servers

FIXES/ENHANCEMENTS

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

This component works with IBM Content Manager versions 8.4.0 and 8.4.2.

The client software should be installed and configured on the computer with the Workflow Server.

First variant of the client software:

· IBM Data Server Client Version 9.5 - a collection of client application drivers and tools for DB2 and Informix IDS data servers.

· IBM DB2 Content Manager Information Integrator for Content version 8.4 - API for connection to the IBM Content Manager 8.4 server.

Second variant of the client software:

· IBM Data Server Client Version 9.5 - a collection of client application drivers and tools for DB2 and Informix IDS data servers.

· IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Edition Client for Windows version 8.4 (or version 8.4.2).

The component works only with folders of the “ICMDRFOLDERS” type that is displayed for users as Document Routing Folders type.
